Hummingbird
There are over 300 species of hummingbirds. The smallest species, known as the bumblebee
hummingbird, has a body the size of a bee, with beak and tail adding to the total length of
2 inches. The largest hummingbird is 8.5 inches. Hummingbirds are often quite colourful,
with bright iridescent plumage. Hummingbirds feed on small animals and the flower nectar
they are able to extract using their long, narrow beaks. MORE!
