HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Screamer

Sorry, No Picture! Screamers are plump, long-legged birds, found in marshes and lagoons. Not successful swimmers, screamers walk about on extended toes, preferring the grassy shoreline. All screamers have a hooked, chicken-like beak. During breeding season, screamers emit a two-noted trumpet. A noise that is quite beautiful at first, apparently becoming more intolerable in time. Screamers can be found throughout South America. [BM] {FW}
