This common frog of the west coast ranges in size from 2 cm to 5 cm in length. It is characterized by the roughness of its green, tan or black skin. The skin is often marked by patterned dark spots. A distinct black line runs from the snout through the eyes. The Pacific tree frog can be found in grassy areas or among shrubs, low to the ground. Pacific tree frogs are always found near water.
