Hochstetter's Toad
The Hochstetter's Toad is believed to be one of the most primitive frogs. It is the only frog which
shares characteristics with the close relative of amphibians, the fish. Like fish Hochstetter's toads are
amphicoelous, which means they have concave vertebrae. They also have two tail-wagging muscles,
but of course no tail. MORE!
