Hochstetter's Toad 2
The Hochstetter's toad can be found in the swift running streams of high
mountains, so it can be postulated that they are descendants of the hillstream fish, or have at least
adapted in a similar fashion. Reaching lengths no larger than 5 cm, they can be found in New Zealand,
where they are protected, and northwest America.
