Colorado River Toad
This is the largest toad native to North America. Reaching up to 18 cm in length, the Colorado River toad
has deep greenish-brown skin. Unlike many toads, the skin of this species is relatively smooth and shiny.
Two prominent warts are located at the corners of the mouth. Seen here eating a young mouse, the diet of this
carnivore also includes insects, lizards and other toads. MORE!
