California Tree Frog
Only reaching 5 cm in length, the California tree frog is hard to spot. The grey to green skin is
broken by a strong black line which is not present in all California tree frogs. The skin is quite bumpy and
provides excellent camouflage. This primarily nocturnal amphibian can be found along gentle streams, water holes and
mountainous terrain. Always near water the California tree frog can be found along the southern coast of
California to northern Mexico.
