Pine Barrens Tree Frog
This colourful green frog is marked by a deep lavender stripe running along the flanks and bright
orange along the inner thigh. This endangered
species,3 cm to 5 cm in length, can be found in wetlands, bogs and streams. Through the destruction of wetlands this nocturnal amphibian
is an increasingly rare sight. Remaining pockets of the pine barrens tree frog can be found in the mid-Atlantic
and Southern United States.
