Eastern Tiger Salamander

The eastern tiger salamander is a subspecies of the tiger salamander. These salamanders can be distinguished by the spotted olive pattern overlaying a dark ground colour. Like other tiger salamanders the head is quite large and the eyes are small. The total length of this salamander may reach 40 cm. This is the largest terrestrial salamander in the world!
