Small-mouthed Salamander
The small-mouthed salamander has a very tiny head and mouth. In total length this amphibian may reach a
maximum of 18 cm. The long, slender body is grey, often with a warm green mottled pattern. Running along the
sides are 14-15 costal groves. The habitat of the small-mouthed salamanders ranges from moist pine
forests to prairie ponds of central United States. MORE!
