Marbled Salamander

Marbled salamanders are chunky amphibians. They are easily recognized by their dark skin with distinguished white bands. Reaching between 9 and 13 cm, the marbled salamander is medium sized. Marbled salamanders can be found in moist woodlands, swampy grounds and even on drier hillsides. They range from Lake Michigan to Florida, west to Texas. MORE! [BM] {FW}
