Asexual Reproduction in Animals
Animals reproduce asexually or sexually. Asexual reproduction occurs in a number of ways. Through fission a parent cell
splits into identical "daughters" (bacteria) . Through spore formation a reproductive cell gives rise to a new organism. Through
budding an outgrowth on the parent becomes a new individual (hydra). Through regeneration an organism can be divided into several
pieces, with each piece becoming a new individual (flatworm).
