Locust 2 (Order Orthoptera Family Mantidae)
In Africa, so many locust travel together that when they rest at night on huge tree limbs, they often snap as a result of the tremendous weight. The locust nymph is very similar in appearance to the adult. It does, however, lack wings. A very interesting species of locust is the 17 year cicada. [BM] {EB}
