Leaf Katydid
(Order Orthoptera Suborder Enisfera)
The True Katydid is one species of Katydid. It is a large, leaf green insect with convex forewings and
pointed head. Both sexes make a loud noise, which sounds like "katy-DID". They are found in
woodlands and forests throughout North America. This photograph of a leaf kaydid was taken in Danum Valley,
