As adults, damselflies live
near the water. However, they are strong fliers and are known to travel great distances. Male
damselflies often fly holding the head of a female damselfly with an appendage at the end of his
abdomen. In this way, brilliantly coloured damselflies are often seen flying in tandem. This beautiful
