Mantidfly
(Order Neuroptera Family Mantispidae)
The mantidfly are easily recognized by their elongated bodies and pronounced front legs (prothorax)
which are specialized to grasp prey. Growing no larger than 1 inch, the mantidfly is a predator. Like
other insects in the suborder planipennia, the mantidfly has two pair of fine wings, equal in size. MORE!
