Swallowtail
(Order Lepeidoptera Family Papilionoidae)
Swallowtail butterflies are adult lepidoptera. The Swallowtail group of butterflies, include some of
the largest and most colourful of all butterflies. The wings, which are much larger then the body, are
covered by scales appearing in a variety of colours depending on the species. For example, Tiger
Swallowtails are marked by yellow and black colours, where as Zebra Swallowtails have wings that
are soft green marked with black stripes. MORE!
