Atlas Moth (Order Lepeidoptera Family Saturniidae)

The atlas moth is the largest of all moths. They are found in tropical forests and wetlands from India to Sri Lanka, Malaysia to Indonesia. The wings have a brown undertone with red marks on the rounded tip of the forewing. The atlas moth is also recognized by distinctive translucent patches on its wings. MORE! [BM] {DC}
