Long-Horned Beetle
(Order Coleoptera Family Cerambycidae)
There are over 1200 species of Long-Horned Beetle in North America. Most have cylindrical bodies
with back sweeping antennae, 3 times longer then their bodies. They range in size from 6 to 75 mm.
Often brightly coloured, they feed on flowers, wood, roots or leaves. Both the larvae and adult Long-
Horned Beetle bore into wood, leaving a trace of sawdust around a hole in the bark.
