Ladybug Beetle (Order Coleoptera Family Coccinellidae)

The Ladybug Beetle has a very distinctive round to oval body shape. The many different species are often brightly coloured in red, orange, or yellow with black markings. Ladybugs feed on aphids, mites and other small insects. Many gardeners hold the ladybug in high regard, some are even sold commercially to rid orchards of destructive pests. The adult form of the Ladybug frequently overwinters en masse. [BM] {PF}
