Click Beetle 2
(Order Coleoptera Family Elateridae)
Through the
unique physiology of this beetle it creates a clicking noise from which it has received its name. If one
where to place a Click Beetle on its back, it would forcefully straighten its body producing a clicking
noise as it is propelled into the air. In this fashion the beetle attempts to land right side up. There are
many varieties of Click Beetle most of which can be found in rotting wood, under bark and upon
flowers and foliage.
