Water Flea
Water fleas are small decapods found in both fresh and salt water.
They are covered by a hard carapace.
The carapace is bivalved, meaning there are 2 shells hinged together like a clam shell.
Water fleas have from 4 to 6 pairs of legs.
These legs are flattened and remain inside the carapace, while the head remains outside the carapace.
Water fleas are eaten by many other living creatures.
They can be found in abundance in freshwater pools.
