Fairy Shrimp
These rather pale coloured decapods are characterized by their elongated bodies. Unlike the larger decapods,
the fairy shrimp lacks a hard, protective carapace. The fairy shrimp has no less than 11 pairs of flattened
legs. Multitudes of fairy shrimp can be found in temporary pools which are often created by changing tides.
