Two species which are capable of bringing death to their victim are both found in Arizona. The female is known to eat the male after she has mated. She bears 20 to 40 living young, which cling to her back for their first week of life. This photograph, taken in San Bernardino, California, features a giant hairy scorpion. [BM] {PF}
