Hunting Spider

There is a wide variety of spiders, found in a multitude of habitats. They eat insects and other small animals, using paralyzing venom in the attack. There are only a few species of spider which have venom that is threatening to humans. Many spiders live on the ground and in foliage waiting for their pray, while others spin webs to catch unsuspecting prey. This sticky silk used in the construction of webs is released from the spinnerets. In general female spiders are larger than males and are more commonly seen.
