Hair
Hair is found all over the body except on the palms of
the hands and the soles of the feet. A single hair has
several layers: the visible shaft, the root embedded in
the skin, the follicle, and papilla. Oil-secreting
glands called sebaceous glands secrete oil which keeps
each hair soft and pliable. Different hair colours are due to the
different amounts of pigments in the outer layer of the
hair. MORE!
