Glands
Glands are composed of special cells called epithelial
cells. There are two main types of glands, Endocrine
and Exocrine. Endocrine glands secrete their substances
directly into the blood stream, whereas Exocrine glands
secrete their substances into ducts. Examples of
endocrine glands are the pancreas and the ovaries.
Examples of exocrine glands are the sweat glands and
the salivary glands.
