Snowshoes
Snowshoes are racket-like platform that can be attached to the
foot help a
person "float" on the surface of the snow. Snowshoes come in many shapes and
materials,
often
specialized to an application or sport. Mainly a form of transportation in
wintery
climes,
snowshoeing appears as a mode of transportation in riflery, orienteering,
and
similar
competitions.
