Skate-Skiing
This style of cross-country skiing involves a foot and body
movement not
unlike
that used by speed skaters. Skis are aimed away from the body at an angle up
to 45
degrees. As
with ice-skates, the skier gains momentum in this side-to-side motion by
pushing
off the inside of
one ski and gliding on the other.
