Riflery (shooting)
Using a gun, the goal in the sport of shooting is to
hit a target with
precision
and accuracy. This skill, known as marksmanship, has been practiced since
about
1300--when
firearms were invented. The competitive sport of target shooting didn't
develop
until the 19th
century, with the invention of more accurate weapons.
