HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Mounting Climbing Part 9

CLIMBING A final important element to mountaineering is the descent. It is considerably harder to climb down a mountain than to climb up a mountain, so rappelling is commonly used. To avoid the great potential of missed footing, climbers often use a double rope to lower their equipment and bodies down. The act of rappelling is controlled by one hand as the climber slowly feeds out the rope, practiced here on the side of a barn. Back to Mountain Climbing [BM] {ED}
