Hockey Part 2
New settlers from Europe
learned this sport
from the natives and added elements of a game they were
already familiar
with in field hockey. For just over a
century this game has been evolving within the
Canadian
borders and has subsequently been picked up by the
Americans. In 1860 at Kingston
Harbour, Ontario,
instead of using a ball it was decided to try a hard,
rubber puck. This
photograph was taken in 1908. MORE!
