preserve natural areas, fight development proposals,
teach conservation and help
hikers in many facets such
as obtaining hostel information. The sport of hiking is
greatly
beneficial and an element to many other
activities such as mountaineering, hunting, nordic
skiing, snowshoeing, back pack camping and bird
watching.
