Golf

Golf originated in 15th Century Scotland. The oldest known golf club is located in Edinburgh Scotland and was called the Company of Gentlemen Golfers, but has since been renamed to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. It was in Great Britain, though, that the game of golf grew popular, motivated by the establishment of the Royal North Devon Club in 1864. MORE! [BM] {ED}
