Under the leadership of a man by the name of
Walter Camp, several changes
occurred, like
the replacement of the rugby scrum
with the scrimmage, the shrinking number
of players
to 15 or 11 and the importance of the
quarter back. Many of these changes were to
ensure
safety. But after several deaths
and considerable injury, in 1905 President Theodore
