Curling 2
Points are scored
to the
team who's stones rest closest to the tee. The
stones, which weigh between 40-44 pounds
(18-19 kg) are
thrown alternately by the two teams. A broom is
used to sweep the path of the
stone to remove
snow and ice. The
most popular curling event is the Canadian Championships
which began in 1927. World curling championships have
been held since 1959. Back to curling!
