Cricket is a team game played with a ball and bat. The ball is small and hard, the bat is about 96cm (38") long and flat. The rules of play are quite complicated but involve one team's "batsman" trying to hit the ball thrown by the other team's "bowler." Once the ball is hit, the batsmen run for each other's position, trying to reach the "crease" before the other team puts either of them "out." [AM] {NR}
