Like yachting, ballooning has, since its inception, been a sport for the wealthy. Ballooning, like yachting is an expensive hobby. A popular event in ballooning is the Hare and the Hound competition. A lead balloon, which is the "hare" takes off first and is shortly followed by the other balloons which are the "hounds". The winning balloon is that which lands closest to the "hare" balloon. MORE!
