The Jewish people believe that they are the chosen people of God. Special among all the nations of the world. As an official religion and culture with holy laws (called the Torah), temples and priestly scribes, Judaism did not begin until c.400BC. The Jewish people believe that a Saviour will come and redeem them and condemn those who do not believe in Yahweh. They believe in the individual, divine dominion of their God, Yahweh, over all creation. In this photograph a 13 year old boy is celebrating his barmitzvah.
