Shinto
Shinto is the religious practices and beliefs of the indigenous people of Japan. It is considered a
very old religion and philosophy. However, it seems to be less of a formal belief and more of a social
way to the Japanese. Unlike most Eastern philosophies and religions it has no metaphysical doctrines
and suggests no coherent laws to govern morality. Shinto remained nameless until the introduction of
Buddhism to Japan in the 6th Century. This is a Shinto Temple in Japan. MORE!
