Those who follow Confucianism are followers of the philosopher K'ung-fu-tze (which is pronounced Confucius).
K'ung was born in the Chinese Province of Lu, which is now Shantung by the Yellow Sea.
He was born in 551BC.
Although K'ung was left fatherless at the young age of three his mother insisted that he receive the best in education.
K'ung grew up as a very wise and intelligent boy with a great love for the philosophy, poetry, music and history of his
people. This is the entrance to a Japanese Confucian Temple.
