The Reformed Church is based on the French-Swiss reformer John Calvin (1509-64). The Reformed Churches
made up a significant sector of the churches in the early settlement of the United States. The
Pilgrims and Puritans settled in New England, giving rise to what has become the main component of the
United Church of Christ. This painting, "Pilgrims Going To Church", was created by American artist
George H. Boughton. MORE!
