The Presbyterian faith is a classical form of protestantism arising from the 16th Century Reformation movement in western Europe. The Presbyterian church, like the Reformed church, is rooted in Calvinism. These two forms of protestantism, presbyterian and reformed, are essentially separated in two ways, through geography and through different forms of church government.
