The Armenian Apostolic Church has its roots within the Greek Orthodox church. However, ties were broken with the Greek Orthodox Church and new ties formed with the Church of the Syrians. The two most prominent Christian Syrian churches, the Coptic and Jacobite church supplied the Armenian Apostolic church with scripture and liturgy. This Armenian Church is found in Madras, India.
