Anglican Part 2
A moment of great significance for the Anglican Church occurred in 1982 in the meeting of Pope
John Paul II and Robert Runcie, the archbishop of Canterbury.
These two leaders came
together to discuss the prospects for reconciliation between the two churches.
The Anglican
and Catholic churches have many points of similarity, including a rich and established
tradition of liturgy. This photograph was taken of St.George's Anglican Church in Kingston, Canada.
