ROMAN MYTHOLOGY Roman gods differed greatly from Greek gods as there was no godly marriage or offspring. These gods were believed to be abstract powers rather then anthropomorphic deities. The purity of the Roman religion, rich with liturgy and an established priesthood was soon to be influenced by other cultures as Rome expanded.
