Druidism 2
The Druids believed that they were descendants from a Supreme Being.
They did not worship one Supreme Being. They worshipped many gods for theirs was a polytheistic religion.
As a judicial body the Gaelic Druids investigated and settled disputes both small and large.
The priests busied themselves investigating quarrels and the arch druid had supreme power in lawful trials, passing
judgment.
Understanding that Druidism held both a religious and judicial function proves insightful while considering the
brutality of their religious ceremonies.
When the Romans invaded Gaul and the British Isles they reported such heinous religious ceremony as burning a man alive
in a wicker cage. This is a picturesque coast in Ireland.
