Polytheistic Beliefs

The African pagan (like all other pagans) holds polytheistic beliefs. Almost all tribes believe in a Supreme Being who rules over lesser gods. The Supreme Being is usually considered the creator of the universe and the ultimate master of human destiny. The Supreme Being is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. The lesser gods each have their own special function. These lesser gods most often take their identity from nature. [BM] {MN}
