• The French defeated Austro-Russian forces at the Battle of Austerlitz.
• Austria sued for peace with France at the Treaty of Pressburg.
• Britain, Austria, Russia and Sweden formed a Third Coalition against France.
• Nelson defeated the Franco-Spanish fleet at Trafalgar, but was killed during the action.
