The present ruler is the 4th in a dynasty dating back to 1907. He introduced reforms into this medieval country by broadening education & compelling Buddhist monks to help socially, outside the monestary. However, since 1988, King Wangshuk has introduced laws to drive out Nepalese & Indian settlers, even if they have lived there for decades. This is a view of Tashichoedzong, Thimphu. [BA] {UA}
